Places to Visit in Chamba
Ideally situated at a height varying from 1550 to 1950 mts. above sea level, Tehri Garhwal is a modern and smartly planned hill town impressively overlooking massive artificial lake and the popular Tehri Dam. The hill station is located only 11 kms. from Chamba and 24 kms. from Old Tehri in Garhwal district.
Situated at an altitude of 4500 feet, the falls are at 15 kms. distance from Mussoorie on the Yamnotri Road. The beauty of Kempty Falls can be attributed to the high mountainous ambience. The tourists can hire buses or taxis from Mussoorie to reach to this place.
Situated at a distance of 24 kms. from Chamba, Dhanaulti in Uttarakhand cloistered with thick, alpine vegetation of Deodars, Rhododendrons and Oaks respectively. Measuring a distance of 37 kms. from Rishikesh in Uttaranchal, and lying along the Rishikesh-Badrinath highway, Kaudiyala offers an ideal place to tourists who want to explore white water rafting adventure. Kaudiyala is situated at an altitude of 389 mts. above sea level. The tourist destination spot is quite cool to view fauna and flora in its serene natural ambience.
