Dhanaulti Hill Station

Dhanaulti is situated on the Mussoorie – Chamba road in the Tehri district of Uttaranchal. This location is a perfect getaway as it easily accessible from Delhi. Best Visiting Places

Chanderi - This town boasts of ancient Rajput and Sultanate architecture. There remains a magnificent Mughal Fort. These are the recommended sites here Koshak Mahal, the Badal Mahal, Victory Arch, Jama Masjid and old Jain Temples. This town is also known for its delicate sarees.

Barehpani and Joranda Falls - These incredible falls are situated in the interior of Simplai Natinal Park, (Barehipani-399m and Jordana-150m).

Matatila Dam - This is popular as a picnic spot maintained by the Irrigation Department. Water sport and a garden on the lines of Vrindavan gardens are also must visit here.

Pradhanpat - The Pradahanpat hill is a very naturally beautiful spot with its pleasing waterfall. The scenery around here is very fascinating.

Deogarh - There remains a 16th century glorious fort near Pratapgarh with some grand palaces ornate with murals. There are some Jain Temples also.

Jain Temples - There lay 31 remarkable Jain temples constructed much after Vishnu Temple. They are placed inside the fort of Kanali on the hills. The spot was a Jain nucleus from the 6th to the 17th century. The temples showcase scenes from Jain mythology, Tirthankara images and Jain figures.

Talbehat - Talbehat is situated 31 km from south of Latipur on the Jhansi-Sagar National Highway. Bharat Singh, the king of Bar and Chanderi constructed a glorious fort in 1618, with the popularly known Narsingh Temple inside.

Dashavatar Temple - This is a magnificent Gupta temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu. This temple is the earliest known Panchayatan temple in northern India.

Best time to visit

Tourist can visit here anytime of the year. But the monsoon season should be avoided. Bring light woolens for summer and heavy woolens for winter.
