Folk Songs of Uttaranchal are – Chhopati, Chounphula, and Jhumella, Basanti, Mangal, Jagar, Bajuband, Khudel, Chhuraetc.

Nagarja, Nirankar, Narsingh, Devi, Hanuman, Bhairav, Heet, Ghantakarn etc. are the chief deities, god and goddesses. The prayer form praised to these deities is called ‘Jagar’.
